This website is automatically updated in real time (about every 5 minutes) with weather observations from a Davis Vantage Pro 2 personal weather station located in Morganza, LA. Weather data is wirelessly received by the Davis Console which is connected to a Raspberry Pi 4B through a Davis Weatherlink data logger. The Raspberry pi is running Linux Raspbian OS. Weewx is the weather software package that records the data and displays accordingly. The weather data is processed and sent to MorganzaWeather.net hosted on a Amazon Web Services Lightsail Instance. The weather station provides the following readings:
- Temperature
- Humidity
- Wind speed
- Wind direction
- Rainfall
- UV
- Solar radiation
- Barometric Pressure
The rest of the observations on this website are done via software calculations and quality control checks to make sure the data is valid.
All weather observations are also posted to the following websites:
- KLAMORGA58 on Weather Underground
- YOUR OWN STATION ID on CWOP
- weewx weather station software
- HighCharts for the various charts on the website
- The Belchertown skin theme built for weewx
- MQTT as the broker(to be added) for instant data transfer from weather station to website
- Thanks to Pat at BelchertownWeather.com for this amazing website for weewx!
